Anchor
Effective April 10, 2026. This is the short, plain-language version for the current product.
We store the account details you give us, including your name, email address, password hash, and timezone. We also store the habits and activity you create in the app, such as habit settings, completions, recovery actions, and missed-day reasons.
We use this data to run Anchor, keep you signed in, show your habit progress, support recovery features, and improve the product. If assisted setup is enabled, the text you submit for habit suggestions may be sent to OpenAI to generate suggestions.
Anchor uses an authentication cookie to keep you logged in. The web app also uses local browser storage for small convenience features such as remembering the selected habit, stored session data, and notification state.
We do not currently run third-party ads inside the product, and we do not sell your personal data. We also do not use third-party analytics in the current version of the app.
Your account and habit data remain in the app database until they are removed. Some habit data can be removed by deleting a habit in the app, but there is not yet a self-serve account deletion tool.
You can choose what habits and notes to record, and you can decline browser notifications. If you do not want suggestion prompts sent to OpenAI, do not use assisted setup when that feature is enabled.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the updated version should be posted here with a new effective date.
